- Try a HTML email campaign. Your visually compelling message
is received right at the prospects desktop and the call to action
is a simple click.
- Include related partnership links on the event website to help
attendees make travel arrangements and find local attractions.
- Create a digital photo gallery on the event website and update
daily during the event. This generates added interest and excitement
for next year's event.
- Provide Palm OS updates with agenda, maps, and exhibitor information
for your event.
- Use daily news alerts on event website to generate interest
in the agenda and featured speakers.
- Get people involved in picking discussion topics using an interactive
poll on your website.
- Take the "Who Should Attend" question a step farther.
Create an interactive quiz on your website entitled, "Are
you a Master in your Industry?" Explain benefits of attending
for each level of expertise.
- Offer a cool screen saver download promoting your event.
- Invest in targeted search engine banners. If someone is looking
for help or information, your targeted ad banner will be displayed
right at the top of the search results list.
- Use "viral marketing" by encouraging
or rewarding attendees to invite their colleagues, business
partners, associates,
etc.
My favorite example of tip #1, Use HTML email, was when TRIAD
used HTML email to show pictures of an incentive trip destination.
This generated excitement in the client's sales organization and
motivated performance throughout the sales cycle.
