In January, 2009, Lisa Buckner joined Corporate Travel Solutions / American Express as the President and Chief Operating Officer overseeing the business travel division.
Lisa's vision is to lead with enthusiasm by building teamwork and focusing on the customer, while generating new sales and staying ahead of the curve. Lisa's hands-on experience in the industry—working in every aspect of the operation—gives her direct insight into what makes the company so successful.
Lisa brings 29 years of travel industry experience in various leadership positions over the years including President of Northwestern Travel Management, Senior Vice President of Navigant, and Vice President of Operations and Account Management at Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Lisa has completed a mini MBA from the University of St. Thomas as well as the Minnesota Management Institute through the University of Minnesota. Lisa served on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Airport Foundation and is a member of Minnesota Executive Women In Travel (MEWIT). Lisa is also a founding member of the United Way’s Executive Leadership Council in Minneapolis. Lisa is known regionally for her involvement and experience moderating industry panels.
Lisa enjoys being involved in community programs, including working with Junior Achievement to help youth discover the value of free enterprise and understanding the concept of business and economics; hoping to improve the quality of their lives.
Lisa and her husband Chuck live in Eden Prairie. In their spare time, they enjoy golfing, cooking/wine tasting, traveling, relaxing and spending time with their five children: Kristin; Chris; Jenny; Colt; and Dylan.
